Maurine Gikonyo
Intern – Clinical, Training, Programme & Grant MgtMaurine Gikonyo is an MSc student in Global Health at the University of Copenhagen, with an educational background in public health and nutrition. She brings several years of international development and humanitarian experience, having worked with organizations including CARE International and Save the Children across Kenya and beyond. Maurine has also been active in student leadership, serving as Student Representative at the School of Global Health. Originally from Kenya, she has lived and worked across multiple countries and is now based in Copenhagen. Outside of work, she's recently taken up knitting and active running.

That is why Maternity Foundation is building midwifery knowledge and skills among healthcare professionals in low-resource areas.
